New to diving? Prefer to keep your fins close to shore? Our guided shore dive is the perfect choice!
With calm conditions, a maximum depth of just 7 metres, and no boat required, it’s ideal for newly certified divers, underwater photographers, and anyone wanting a slower-paced, easy-access dive experience.
This dive is also a fantastic option for children, friends, and families who want to embark on an exciting underwater adventure together.
Check-In
Arrive at Dive Aran at 11:30. You’ll be greeted by our team and given a gear box and changing space.
Dive Briefind
A briefing will take place approximately 20 minutes before we depart the dive centre.
Dive Site
The dive site is just a short walk from the dive centre. No boat required! Enjoy a quick stroll as you get ready to explore.

No. Shore Fun Dives are for certified divers only.
Yes, but only if both participants are friends or relatives and book a private experience together. This ensures safety and an enjoyable experience for everyone.
The maximum depth is around 7 metres, making it safe, relaxed, and ideal for new divers.
Yes. All dives are fully guided by Dive Aran instructors or guides.
Shore dives are great for spotting baby squid, juvenile conger eels, hermit crabs, spider crabs, and plenty of smaller fish.
Yes. Shore Fun Dives are especially popular with newly certified divers, underwater photographers, and families who prefer calmer conditions.
No. Equipment rental is available if needed, but you are welcome to bring your own gear.

Water visibility can range from 5 meters (17 feet) to infinity, depending on conditions.
For scuba, we use 12L steel air tanks with single-valve DIN or Yoke.
No. We use wetsuits 7mm (extra shorty 5mm if needed) all year round.
Yes. You will finish at around 3 pm. Enough time to get changed and go.
