As a Divemaster, you’ll be qualified to guide certified divers, assist instructors, and support dive centre operations anywhere in the world.

As a future Dive Professional, it’s highly recommended to have your own full set of dive gear it will make your training more comfortable and prepare you for professional work. However, if you don’t yet own everything, we can help with missing items.

At a minimum, you should bring: 

  • Mask, Snorkel, Fins
  • Wetsuit

Other gear (BCD, regulator set) can be hired (rental fee) during your course.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the experience, leadership skills, and professional qualification to lead dives and guide others, making you a respected expert in the diving community.

As a certified SSI Divemaster, you are authorised to:

  • Guide certified divers on fun dives
  • Assist SSI Instructors during courses
  • Supervise training activities for certified divers (with indirect instructor supervision)
  • Conduct selected SSI programs independently (with additional recognition)
  • Work professionally around the world in dive centres, resorts, and liveaboards


This is your entry point into the dive industry and the stepping stone to SSI Instructor.

Looking for even more experience? Dive Aran offers a free 2-week Divemaster Internship for motivated students.

As an intern, you’ll:

  • Assist instructors with courses
  • Help daily dive centre operations
  • Guide certified divers under supervision

Yes. Dive Aran offers a free 2-week internship to gain hands-on experience assisting instructors, supporting students, and logging additional dives.

At least 40 logged dives are required to begin. You’ll log many more during training and internship.
